Bath Fertility CentrePeasedown St John, Bath, UK When the partners of Bath Fertility Centre needed to relocate from obsolete premises at Bath’s Royal United Hospital, they turned to Development Solutions to assist them in turning the dream of a new bespoke facility into a reality, and to act as Development Manager. Development Solutions advised on location for the new facility and negotiated the acquisition of a site close to the new Circle Hospital on the edge of Bath. We then managed the procurement process, engaging in overseeing a consultant team of architects, engineers, planners and other professionals. Planning consent was applied for and granted for a state of the art facility. Contractors were appointed and the completed facility opened in 2013. Development Solutions acted as critical friend to the medical directors and staff throughout the process, which was undertaken in an holistic manner, with the facility designed from the inside out. We engaged with all of the specialist staff to ensure optimum working conditions and functionality. When, in 2018, Bath Fertility wanted to expand and open a Bristol satellite facility, Development Solutions were again called upon to identify and acquire premises for this, overseeing the process through to opening of the second centre at Aztec West.
