Multipurpose ArenaBristol, UK Adviser to Bristol Waterside Arena Limited, a consortium selected to develop a proposed arena in Bristol. Guided the client through the complex and detailed public sector procurement process to successfully winning the mandate in the face of strong competition and in becoming a partner to the Council and the development Agency. The mixed-use scheme proposed an 11,000 seat multi-purpose arena and concert venue capable of staging sporting events, entertainment, conferences and exhibitions in an innovative form unique within the UK, and supported by enabling development in the form of 900 residential units, 230,000 sq ft of offices and workspace, 50,000 sq ft of leisure space, large casino, 250 hotel bedrooms, health clinic, 42,500 sq ft of bars & restaurants all with on-site car parking. Unfortunately, the project was halted due to constraints on public finance and has subsequently been abandoned in favour of an out of town site. “I would just like to thank you for the invaluable contribution you made to the submission document, which is excellent. As always your understanding of these complex projects is consummate and I have no doubt that when we win the day a great measure of our success will be due to your sound analysis.” Richard Olsen, Chairman, Orion Land & Leisure Limited Sectors City & Town Centres Transport hubs Work Space Healthcare Retail Leisure Housing Hospitality Public Sector & PPP Sport & Event venues Infrastructure & Public Realm Services Conceptual vision Strategic positioning Real estate market analysis Risk analysis Development appraisals Procurement & PPP Development management Letting / sales strategy Investment advice [Return] |
